Time in Mexico doesn’t work the same way it does in the U.S., Canada or anywhere else in the world. Here, the concept of time is too flexible.... many things may be promised but not always delivered on-time (ranging from the expensive TV you ordered to the plumber showing up) – this can be frustrating, I know! – but once you understand that it is part of the culture, you'll begin to relax into it and adjust to our calmer rhythms.

Believe me, most Mexicans are extremely warm, relaxed and friendly; they will make you feel welcome and help you where they can. Mexican people love 5 things in life: tacos, alcohol, freedom, sun and making jokes (don't take it personal, we laugh at ourselves, our mother-in-law, politicians or even at the face of death!), the more effort you make to integrate yourself into the Mexican way of life, the more receptive they will be towards you.

I'M NOT LATE, I RUN ON MEXICAN TIME.
